Steel Deep Drawn Tapered Cone Sleeve Zinc Plated

This tapered cone sleeve is drawn from low-carbon steel and zinc plated for corrosion resistance. The gradual taper lets it seat into matching sockets or guide housings, and the drawn one-piece body keeps wall thickness uniform along the full cone – no weld seams to fail in service.

Function and Design

Most of the difficulty in a tapered cone sleeve is invisible: wall consistency, concentricity, burr control. Any drift in the tapered cone sleeve process is corrected at the machine, not sorted out at inspection.

What Makes It Work

  • The taper is turned with a controlled angle so insertion is smooth and seating is repeatable.
  • Zinc plating goes on after forming, so coverage follows every contour – including the corners pre-coated sheet would leave bare.
  • Pricing steps down with volume, supported by in-house tooling.
  • Material: carbon steel (SPCC / DC01 or to print) as the running stock for tapered cone sleeve work, with certificates available on request.
  • Process: the tapered cone sleeve is deep drawn from coil or blank, trimmed and pierced in subsequent dies.
  • Finish: The tapered cone sleeve ships with zinc plating (clear or yellow passivate); any change of finish is re-approved in writing.
  • Size: Final dimensions of the tapered cone sleeve to your drawing; this page shows the family, your version is quoted from the print.
  • Custom: OEM/ODM: send the tapered cone sleeve drawing, quotation comes back with manufacturability notes.

Where It Is Used

It earns its place in lighting reflectors and covers, appliance and HVAC assemblies, battery and energy-storage components.

Our Production Advantage

The tapered cone sleeve die is serviced by recorded stroke count, keeping the tool steady mid-order. First articles are inspected on the CMM, production is sampled against the same dimensions, and any drift stops the press.

Send your tapered cone sleeve drawing or sample; quotations with material advice and sample lead times come back within one working day.
