Produced in stainless steel by Aunov Tech, the Deep Drawn Medical Sterilization Tray is formed and machined on the same floor. In service, the deep drawn part combines forming and machining to reach the print on every controlled face. One production floor covers forming, finishing and inspection, and a design change is re-sampled in one place without a second supplier involved.
Product overview
What defines this metal tray is, wall thickness control, flange geometry and the sealing surface, checked by CMM at first article and by gauge in production.
Forming, machining and finishing for this metal tray happen on one site, which keeps the sample loop inside our own schedule, with the tooling history retained in house.
How it is manufactured
Manufacturing runs on a controlled process path: Coil is blanked and then drawn down in successive stages; the finishing operations hold the concentricity the drawing calls for.
Each sterilization tray, shipment is verified against the master sample before it leaves the shop. Mill certificates are filed per heat, so sterilization tray, traceability survives a change of material batch.
Materials and finishing
Working stock covers carbon steel SPCC / DC01, 304 and 316 stainless, aluminium, brass and copper and this metal tray runs in carbon steel or stainless.
Because the part works in contact with media, the coating is chosen for cleanliness: zinc, nickel or chrome plating, anodising, powder coating, electrophoresis and passivation. Once approved, the finish for this metal tray is fixed and does not get re-decided.
Each shipment is verified against the master sample, so material and finish stay consistent between shipments.
Quality control
The plant is ISO 9001 certified: material traceability starts with mill certificates, a full CMM report approves the first article, and routine sampling keeps batches aligned with the first article. First article of the sterilization tray,: CMM data on diameters, thread class confirmed by gauge. Where the application asks for it, torque, leak or pressure testing is added to the plan, and results travel with the batch paperwork.
Applications
The metal tray sits in medical devices and instrument assemblies for OEM and Tier-1 customers.
The same metal tray is often run in more than one assembly, so one tooling set serves every position, and cost per piece stays at the volume tier.
Options and variations
Options changed most often
Typical customer decisions: material and coating for the duty, wall bands, flange forms, threads and bosses, closed ends and finishes matched to the working environment, and whether orders run as prototypes, pilot lots or scheduled batches.
Quotes show which options the current die already supports, so nothing hidden appears later in the project.
Specifications
| Item | Deep Drawn Medical Sterilization Tray |
|---|---|
| Brand | AUNOV |
| Designing | Files reviewed in PDF, DWG, STEP or IGS; the signed-off revision is the reference for production. |
| Tooling | Die design and toolmaking stay in house, so die cost stays transparent, and maintenance is tracked against the part number. |
| Samples | First-article samples ship with a dimensional report and material certificate, so any deviation is corrected at sample stage, and mass production is gated on that approval. |
| Materials | Carbon steel (SPCC / DC01), 304 / 316 stainless, aluminium, brass and copper – the grade is matched to the duty of this tray. |
| Surface finish | Finish selected from the drawing: plating, coating, anodising or passivation; masking and laser marking available where needed. |
| Processing | Progressive drawing through several stages, annealed between draws, then trim and pierce; batch records are filed so a repeat order starts from approved data. |
| Equipment | 5-250 T mechanical presses, 250-500 T hydraulic presses and annealing furnaces in line; secondary ops run on CNC turning centres, inspection on the CMM. |
| Tolerance | +/-0.05 mm to +/-0.1 mm across the part, wall thickness held to print; finer bands confirmed from capability data before quoting. |
| Delivery terms | FOB Ningbo or Shanghai, payment by T/T, L/C at sight or D/P; repeat orders reuse the approved first article. |
Packaging and delivery
Packing for this metal tray is chosen around the coating: the coating decides whether parts are interleaved, bagged or tray-packed, in sealed cartons on export pallets; shipping documents and carton marks follow your instructions.
