Wiper motor cap

Wiper motor cap
Wiper motor cap

Aunov Tech builds this Wiper motor cap in stainless steel, from coil or bar through to the finished surfaces. In the assembly, the wiper motor housing drives the link and blade assembly through a geared output shaft. The same floor forms, machines and inspects the part, and a design change is re-sampled in one place without a second supplier involved.

Product overview

What defines this metal cap is, the formed envelope, flatness and hole location, each measured at first article and gauged on production batches.

Tooling and finishing for this metal cap run under one roof, so a drawing change is absorbed in one step, and the die record stays with your part number.

How the part is produced

The process for this metal cap runs in a fixed sequence: Blanks are drawn in stages, with interstage annealing where the wall thins; wall thickness is checked at the thinnest section after forming.

Process settings are archived with the part number, so reorders match the samples you already approved.

Materials and surface finish

Working stock covers SPCC / DC01 carbon steel, 304 / 316 stainless, aluminium, brass, copper and bronze and the grade agreed for this metal cap is carbon steel or stainless.

The finish is chosen for the environment the part sees: zinc, nickel or chrome plating, anodising, powder coating, electrophoresis and passivation. The finish on this metal cap is locked to the drawing revision, so later orders match.

Each shipment is verified against the master sample, and grade changes have to be agreed in writing first.

Quality control

Production runs under an ISO 9001 certified quality system: incoming material is verified against mill certificates, the first article is CMM-measured against the print, and routine sampling keeps batches aligned with the first article. At wiper motor housing level, output-shaft bore runout is checked on every first article, and seal seats are gauged for burr-free assembly. Torque, leak and pressure tests are available where the assembly needs them, and the report is packed with the shipment.

Applications

The metal cap is specified into automotive sub-assemblies and adjacent equipment for customers who buy to drawing.

The same metal cap is often run in more than one assembly, so the finish is chosen to cover the harshest of them, and the die does not have to change.

DesigningDriven by your drawing or a physical sample – samples are reverse-measured into a controlled drawing; the agreed version governs every later batch.
ToolingDie design and toolmaking stay in house, so tooling lead time stays under our control, and the die remains dedicated to your part.
SamplesPre-production samples come with a full inspection report, so any deviation is corrected at sample stage, and the signed sample is kept for future reorders.
MaterialsCarbon steel (SPCC / DC01), 304 / 316 stainless, aluminium, brass and copper – the grade is matched to the duty of this cap.
Surface finishZinc or nickel plating for corrosion, plus powder coating or electrophoresis on housings; laser etching on request.
ProcessingDeep drawing from coil or blank, with in-process annealing so walls thin evenly; trim, pierce, form and finish.
EquipmentMechanical presses from 5 to 250 T, hydraulic presses 250-500 T, annealing ovens, plus CNC turning and machining centres.
Tolerance+/-0.05 mm on controlled dimensions and +/-0.1 mm on general features; capability studies supplied on request.
Delivery termsCIF or DDP, with FOB available, T/T or L/C, with D/P accepted on repeat business; each volume tier carries its own quoted price.
