A steel thermowell fittings assortment with hex nuts, packed as a kitting set for assembly lines. Hex nuts are thread-gauged; well bodies are turned with the seal shoulder finished flat so every joint makes up the same.
Function and Design
Thermowell fitting work is unforgiving: a few hundredths in the wrong place and the assembly will not go together. Any drift in the thermowell fitting process is corrected at the machine, not sorted out at inspection.
Design Highlights
- The hex is sized so standard tooling fits without rounding the corners.
- Deburred, cleaned and packed – ready for assembly without rework.
- Inspection records and material certs can be supplied with each shipment.
- Material: For the thermowell fitting we default to carbon steel (SPCC / DC01 or to print); the grade is locked before tooling starts.
- Process: the thermowell fitting is drawn on hydraulic presses, then CNC-finished where tolerances tighten.
- Finish: No catalogue finish: the thermowell fitting surface is agreed on the drawing and confirmed at sample approval.
- Size: Dimensions of the thermowell fitting follow the customer print; specials are quoted from the drawing.
- Custom: Custom production of the thermowell fitting to print, MOQ set by the drawing rather than a catalogue.
Applications
In service you will find this part in household appliance thermometers, industrial process instrumentation, NTC and PT100 probe assemblies.
Factory-Direct Advantage
Drawn shells are stress-relieved before critical faces are machined. Batch records are kept against the part number for repeat builds.
