Stainless Steel Micro Tubes with Closed and Open Ends

Stainless Steel Micro Tubes with Closed and Open Ends
Stainless Steel Micro Tubes with Closed and Open Ends

Stainless micro tubes with one end closed and one open – the closed end protects, the open end admits the element or wire. Micro bores are drawn, not drilled, so the bore stays concentric with the OD.

Function and Design

The micro tube is small in the bill of materials and large in the warranty claim when it goes wrong. That is why the micro tube is inspected between operations, not only at the end.

What Makes It Work

  • Washdown, humidity and process media are met by stainless, not by a coating.
  • Batch consistency is built in: first article verified, production sampled to match.
  • A trial run can precede the first production order.
  • Material: For the micro tube we default to stainless steel (304 / 316); the grade is locked before tooling starts.
  • Process: the micro tube is a deep drawn shell with machined seats and threads where the print calls for them.
  • Finish: The micro tube is finished per print – passivation, plating and coating are all run in house or by audited partners.
  • Size: Micro tube dimensions follow the print, feature positions held to the drawing tolerances.
  • Custom: The micro tube is made to print – low MOQ on standard items, volume pricing on repeats.

Where It Is Used

Production volumes of this part run in HVAC and refrigeration sensors, industrial process instrumentation, NTC and PT100 probe assemblies.

Factory-Direct Advantage

Sensor hardware has to survive installation torque, process media and years of thermal cycling. Any deviation on a sealing face is corrected at the machine, not after plating.
