An assortment of drawn shells, covers and trays showing the width of our press shop. Shallow trays act as battery or component carriers; deeper shells become housings. All are one-piece deep drawn, so none have corner seams to seal or braze.
Function and Design
Shell cover work is unforgiving: a few hundredths in the wrong place and the assembly will not go together. Any drift in the shell cover process is corrected at the machine, not sorted out at inspection.
What Makes It Work
- The variants come from matched tooling, so dimensions stay consistent across the set.
- Every batch is sampled against the verified first article.
- Everything here is made to print – the listing shows the family, your drawing sets the part.
- Material: Grade set by the print; for shell cover work we regularly run carbon steel, 304/316 stainless, aluminium and brass.
- Process: the shell cover is drawn in house on maintained presses, wall thickness held to the print.
- Finish: Natural by default on the shell cover; plating, powder and e-coat options priced with the quotation.
- Size: Shell cover size to drawing, family covers the standard size range, with the agreed version governing every later batch.
- Custom: Custom production of the shell cover to print, MOQ set by the drawing rather than a catalogue.
Applications
Production volumes of this part run in lighting reflectors and covers, appliance and HVAC assemblies, electrical enclosures and junction boxes.
