This Wiper motor casing is an Aunov Tech production part in stainless steel, quoted and built to customer print. In duty, the wiper motor housing protects the motor windings while the output shaft takes the wipe load. The same floor forms, machines and inspects the part, and a design change is re-sampled in one place on one production route.
Product overview
This metal casing is defined by, the formed envelope, flatness and hole location, re-checked whenever the drawing is revised.
Die work and machining for this metal casing sit on the same floor, which keeps revision loops short and samples fast, and every step is logged against the part number.
How it is manufactured
Production follows a defined route: Blanks are drawn in stages, with interstage annealing where the wall thins; the part is annealed between stages so the wall thins evenly.
Route cards follow every order through the shop, and that record is what every reorder is built from.
Materials and finishing
Everything is drawn from a fixed stock list: SPCC / DC01 carbon steel, 304 / 316 stainless, aluminium, brass, copper and bronze and this metal casing is costed in carbon steel or stainless.
Because the part faces weather and wash cycles, the coating is chosen for durability: zinc, nickel or chrome plating, anodising, powder coating, electrophoresis and passivation. Once approved, the finish for this metal casing is fixed and does not get re-decided.
Each shipment is verified against the master sample, and grade changes have to be agreed in writing first.
Quality control
The factory operates with ISO 9001 certification: certificates verify each incoming batch of material, a full CMM report approves the first article, and every production run is inspected against the first-article report. Part-specific checks apply as well: on the wiper motor housing, output-shaft bore runout is checked on every first article, and seal seats are gauged for burr-free assembly. Where the application asks for it, torque, leak or pressure testing is added to the plan, and results travel with the batch paperwork.
Applications
This metal casing is used in vehicle and under-bonnet assemblies for customers who buy to drawing.
The same metal casing is used across several platforms, so the tightest tolerance in the family sets the spec, and cost per piece stays at the volume tier.
Specifications
| Item | Wiper motor casing |
|---|---|
| Brand | AUNOV |
| Designing | Quotation follows the print, not a catalogue – a manufacturability review comes back with the quotation; the agreed version governs every later batch. |
| Tooling | Tooling is built and held under your part number, so die cost stays transparent, and the charge is refundable against agreed volumes. |
| Samples | Samples are issued for approval before the run, so the sample is retained as the master, and mass production is gated on that approval. |
| Materials | Stock covers carbon steel, 304 / 316 stainless, aluminium and brass; the final grade is fixed with the drawing review. |
| Surface finish | Zinc or nickel plating for corrosion, plus powder coating or electrophoresis on housings; laser etching on request. |
| Processing | Coil blanking, progressive drawing through 3-5 stages with anneals between, trim and pierce, then deburr and finish. |
| Equipment | Mechanical presses from 5 to 250 T, hydraulic presses 250-500 T, annealing ovens, plus CNC turning and machining centres. |
| Tolerance | +/-0.03 mm on machined features, +/-0.1 mm on formed ones, with first-article inspection report. |
| Delivery terms | FOB Ningbo or Shanghai, T/T with deposit and L/C for larger runs; repeat orders reuse the approved first article. |
