A dome-end aluminum cylinder shell, closed at one end with a generous radius. The dome spreads axial loads into the walls, so thin aluminum holds up as a housing end cap or protective cover. We trim to length and deburr every shell before packing.
Function and Design
The dome end cylinder is judged by the dimension nobody checks until a failure – fit, seal or concentricity. Any drift in the dome end cylinder process is corrected at the machine, not sorted out at inspection.
What Makes It Work
- Family page: your print sets dimensions, features and tolerances.
- Cleaning and deburring are part of the process, not an afterthought at packing.
- Batch-to-batch consistency comes from the verified first article and sampling.
- Material: No fixed grade – the drawing governs; stock covers steel, stainless, aluminium and brass for dome end cylinder work.
- Process: progressive deep drawing for the dome end cylinder, annealed between draws to keep the grain sound.
- Finish: Natural, plated or coated to drawing – the dome end cylinder finish is approved in writing before production.
- Size: To your print; dimensioned sketches can be advised before the dome end cylinder is quoted.
- Custom: Custom dome end cylinder production – samples and first articles precede volume.
Applications
Typical applications include lighting reflectors and covers, appliance and HVAC assemblies, electrical enclosures and junction boxes.
Factory-Direct Advantage
We draw in house on maintained presses and inspect first articles on the CMM. Dimensional reports and material certs are issued with the first article.
