Zinc Plated Deep Drawn Flange with Center Boss

Zinc Plated Deep Drawn Flange with Center Boss
Zinc Plated Deep Drawn Flange with Center Boss

A zinc plated flange with a raised center boss, drawn so the boss height and flange flatness are repeatable without machining. The boss gives a locating spigot for a mating part, and the flange takes the bolt load – one pressed part doing the job of two machined pieces.

Function and Design

Most of the difficulty in a flange is invisible: wall consistency, concentricity, burr control. The flange is produced to print, with the features that carry function inspected first.

Key Features

  • Flange and body are one pressing, which removes a welded joint and a leak path.
  • Zinc plating goes on after forming, so coverage follows every contour – including the corners pre-coated sheet would leave bare.
  • Trial quantities are quoted alongside volume pricing, so you can prove the part first.
  • Material: Stock flexibility is the point: flange orders have run in carbon steel, stainless, aluminium and brass.
  • Process: the flange is deep drawn, then deburred and finished on the second operation, flange trimmed and pierced in-die.
  • Finish: zinc plating (clear or yellow passivate), picked for the duty the flange will see.
  • Size: Dimensions of the flange follow the customer print; specials are quoted from the drawing.
  • Custom: Send the flange drawing for a quotation with sample lead time and material options.

Applications

It earns its place in appliance and HVAC assemblies, electrical enclosures and junction boxes, automotive sensor and motor housings.

Why Source It From Aunov

Quality on drawn parts is invisible until it fails – a tear in the third batch, a rim that cuts a seal. First articles are inspected on the CMM, production is sampled against the same dimensions, and any drift stops the press.

Share your drawing or sample part; the quotation includes material advice and delivery timing.
