A steel motor cup with a side drain hole, drawn then punched so condensation can escape the motor cavity. The drain placement is matched to your mounting orientation – we have made this exact part in several orientations for different motor frames.
Function and Design
Motor cup work is unforgiving: a few hundredths in the wrong place and the assembly will not go together. Tolerances that matter are confirmed with capability data before the motor cup is quoted.
Design Highlights
- The page shows the family; your motor cup is made to your print and quoted from it.
- Deburred edges and clean surfaces on arrival, ready for your line.
- A trial run can precede the first production order.
- Material: carbon steel (SPCC / DC01 or to print) for the motor cup, with material certs issued together with the dimensional report.
- Process: the motor cup is drawn in house on maintained presses, wall thickness held to the print, burr-free piercing on the second operation.
- Finish: Finish for the motor cup is agreed at sample stage and logged on the job card.
- Size: Final dimensions of the motor cup to your drawing; this page shows the family, your version is quoted from the print.
- Custom: OEM/ODM motor cup work – first articles verified before production starts.
Applications
Typical applications include appliance and HVAC assemblies, lighting reflectors and covers, automotive sensor and motor housings.
Our Production Advantage
Drawing and annealing windows are set from the drawing, not from habit. Batch records are filed against your part number and kept for repeat orders.
