An aluminum cylinder shell with mounting ears pierced from the flange. The ears take the screws while the seamless cylinder protects what is inside – a compact, light housing approach for motors, sensors and capacitors.
Function and Design
The cylinder shell is judged by the dimension nobody checks until a failure – fit, seal or concentricity. Cylinder shell repeatability is designed in through dedicated tooling and recorded settings.
Design Highlights
- Mounting ears are part of the formed shell, located by the die – no welding, no drift.
- Inspection records and material certs can be supplied with each shipment.
- A trial run can precede the first production order.
- Material: Stock flexibility is the point: cylinder shell orders have run in carbon steel, stainless, aluminium and brass.
- Process: the cylinder shell is drawn in house on maintained presses, wall thickness held to the print.
- Finish: No catalogue finish: the cylinder shell surface is agreed on the drawing and confirmed at sample approval.
- Size: Overall size to customer drawing.
- Custom: The cylinder shell is made to print – low MOQ on standard items, volume pricing on repeats.
Applications
It earns its place in electrical enclosures and junction boxes, lighting reflectors and covers, appliance and HVAC assemblies.
Factory-Direct Advantage
We draw in house on maintained presses and inspect first articles on the CMM. Tears, thinning and rim condition are checked at the press, not discovered at assembly.
