Machined fittings with plastic caps and pins, packed as a set. The plastic caps protect machined threads in transit and double as finished product features – one part, two jobs. Metal and plastic parts ship matched.
Function and Design
A cap’s whole job is a clean, controlled close – of a tube, a port or an assembly. Drawn caps close with a formed dome or radius rather than a flat crimp, which is why they do not crack or leak the way cheap stamped closures do.
Design Highlights
- Sizes in this set are produced from matched tooling for consistent dimensions.
- Every fitting batch is sampled against the verified first article.
- Burrs are removed and parts cleaned before they enter the box.
- Material: Standard stock covers engineering polymer (nylon / POM / PTFE); equivalents are feasibility-checked against your print before quoting.
- Process: the fitting runs on CNC turning centres, critical faces finished in one setup.
- Finish: Natural, plated or coated to drawing – the fitting finish is approved in writing before production.
- Size: Quoted from your print, so the fitting size you approve is the size that repeats.
- Custom: Custom production of the fitting to print, MOQ set by the drawing rather than a catalogue.
Where It Is Used
Typical applications include electronic and telecom enclosures, instrumentation fittings, pump and valve assemblies.
Our Production Advantage
We machine in house on maintained turning and milling centres. First articles on the CMM, production sampled against the same dimensions, and dimensional reports with material certs where PPAP levels are required.
Request a quote to get fitting material options, tolerance capability and tooling cost confirmed.
