Stainless steel Sensor housing

This Stainless steel Sensor housing is an Aunov Tech production part in stainless steel, quoted and built to customer print. In duty, the sensor housing shields the sensing element and positions it in the measured medium. Die work, machining and CMM inspection are all in-house, and a design change is re-sampled in one place with no third party in the loop.

Product overview

For this stainless steel sensor, the drawing centres on, material grade, wall uniformity and thread position, re-checked whenever the drawing is revised.

The press shop and machine shop that make this stainless steel sensor share one floor, so the route from print to sample stays short, and the same die can be re-cut from the original data.

How it is manufactured

Production follows a defined route: Drawing runs from flat blank to finished envelope in one controlled sequence; flanges and rims are formed in the same line, then trimmed to length.

Repeat sensor housing orders are measured against the approved sample, so neither material nor finish drifts between lots. The approved sensor housing sample governs later runs, and any grade change is agreed in writing first.

Materials and finishing

The standard stock list carries carbon steel SPCC / DC01, 304 and 316 stainless, aluminium, brass and copper with 304 / 316 stainless steel specified on the drawing for this stainless steel sensor.

Because the part works in contact with media, the coating is chosen for cleanliness: electrophoresis, powder coating, anodising and zinc / nickel plating. The agreed finish for this stainless steel sensor travels with the part number on every reorder.

Later runs are measured back to the first article, and material certificates are kept per batch.

Quality control

Production runs under an ISO 9001 certified quality system: stock arrivals are checked against mill certificates, first-article geometry is confirmed on the CMM, and run inspections follow an agreed sampling plan. Thread class and sealing faces of the sensor housing are verified on every run. If the assembly calls for torque, leak or pressure proof, the test is built into the quality plan, and the inspection report ships with each batch.

Applications

You will find this stainless steel sensor inside sensor and thermostat assemblies under schedules that run for years at a time.

This stainless steel sensor is supplied to several positions in the same machine, so one tooling set serves every position, and cost per piece stays at the volume tier.

DesigningSend drawings, or send a sample to be measured – unusual walls, threads or tolerances are feasibility-checked first; the agreed version governs every later batch.
ToolingDies, fixtures and gauges are made in our own toolroom, so die cost stays transparent, and maintenance is tracked against the part number.
SamplesSample parts are measured and reported before submission, so the part is proven before it is made in volume, and mass production is gated on that approval.
MaterialsCarbon steel (SPCC / DC01), 304 / 316 stainless, aluminium and brass are held on site; grade and temper are confirmed in writing before tooling.
Surface finishFinish selected from the drawing: plating, coating, anodising or passivation; the agreed finish travels with the part number.
ProcessingBlanking, drawing and piercing in sequence, then machining of sealing faces; every stage is logged against your part number.
EquipmentHydraulic presses for drawing, with CNC turning for finishing; first articles and batch samples are checked on the CMM.
Tolerance+/-0.01 mm on turned or milled features, +/-0.03 mm on formed details; capability is checked on the first article before the run continues.
Delivery termsCIF or DDP, with FOB available, payment by T/T, L/C at sight or D/P; price breaks tie to annual volume.
