Aunov Tech supplies the Deep Drawn Aluminum Confidential Case as a aluminum component manufactured entirely in house. In operation, the drawn housing provides a closed, seam-free body the customer builds into. Die work, machining and CMM inspection are all in-house, so first-article dimensions hold through volume batches without handing the part to another vendor.

Product overview

For this aluminium case, the drawing centres on, material grade, wall uniformity and thread position, checked by CMM at first article and by gauge in production.

The whole route from die to finished aluminium case stays in house, which keeps the sample loop inside our own schedule, and the approved sample is kept as the master.

Production route

The route for this aluminium case is fixed and repeatable: Blanks are drawn in stages, with interstage annealing where the wall thins; piercing and trimming are done in the same die line.

Production batches of the round cap are gauged back to the signed first article, not to a memory of it. Process settings for the round cap are archived, so later runs can be compared with the one you approved.

Materials and finishing

Our stock list runs to SPCC / DC01 carbon steel, 304 / 316 stainless, aluminium, brass, copper and bronze and this aluminium case runs in aluminium.

The surface treatment is picked to match the service conditions: polishing, plating in zinc, nickel or chrome, anodising, powder coating, electrophoresis and passivation. The choice is recorded on the drawing for this aluminium case, so the decision never has to be made twice.

Each round cap shipment is verified against the master sample before it leaves the shop. That record is what every round cap reorder is built on, so nothing changes silently between shipments.

Quality control

Quality management is certified to ISO 9001: stock arrivals are checked against mill certificates, first-article geometry is confirmed on the CMM, and later batches follow the sampling plan agreed at approval. First-article measurement of the round cap covers cavity depth and seal face finish. Tests for torque, leakage or pressure can be arranged when the service demands them, and the inspection report ships with each batch.

Applications

The aluminium case sits in industrial machinery and equipment assemblies in volume programmes as well as aftermarket supply.

The same aluminium case is often run in more than one assembly, so one approved version covers the whole range, and the die does not have to change.

Customization and options

What customers usually vary

Points customers normally tailor on this aluminium case: wall thickness bands, flange geometry, thread call-outs and the surface finish, and whether the first order is a prototype, a pilot lot or a production release.

The quotation for this aluminium case is explicit about what the die already covers, so there are no surprise tooling charges after approval. The revised round cap print takes over as master on approval.

BrandAUNOV
DesigningYour drawing sets the part – samples are reverse-measured into a controlled drawing; the same drawing is used for every repeat order.
ToolingDies, fixtures and gauges are made in our own toolroom, so die cost stays transparent, and maintenance is tracked against the part number.
SamplesSamples are issued for approval before the run, so any deviation is corrected at sample stage, and mass production is gated on that approval.
MaterialsStock covers carbon steel (SPCC / DC01), 304 / 316 stainless, aluminium and brass; grade and temper are confirmed in writing before tooling.
Surface finishZinc, nickel or chrome plating, anodising, passivation or e-coat; alternatives quoted with the quotation, samples approved in writing.
ProcessingDeep drawing from coil or blank, with in-process annealing so walls thin evenly; first articles verify the whole flow before the run is released.
EquipmentMechanical presses from 5 to 250 T and hydraulic presses 250-500 T, with in-line annealing furnaces; first articles and batch samples are checked on the CMM.
Tolerance+/-0.03 mm on turned secondary features, +/-0.1 mm on as-drawn walls; critical dimensions carry CMM data with the shipment.
Delivery termsFOB, with DDP offered for EU and US addresses, payment by T/T, L/C at sight or D/P; price breaks tie to annual volume.

Packaging and delivery

Packaging protects the finished surfaces of this aluminium case: interleaving, bagging or tray packing is matched to the surface, then sealed cartons are palletised for export, with documents and marks to your instruction.
